Gold and silver prices surged sharply in both international and local markets, with the price of 24-karat gold in Pakistan rising by Rs11,200 per tola to reach Rs465,236, according to rates reported by sarafa markets across the country.

The price of 24-karat gold increased substantially in the domestic market, reflecting the strong upward movement in international bullion prices. Following the latest increase, gold has climbed to Rs465,236 per tola, placing the precious metal at a new high level in the local market.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of 24-karat gold increased by Rs9,602, reaching Rs398,864. The sharp increase in gold prices is likely to further raise the cost of jewellery and other gold-related purchases for consumers across the country.

Silver prices also moved higher in the domestic market. The price of 24-karat silver increased by Rs185 per tola to reach Rs7,044, adding further pressure on consumers and investors seeking exposure to precious metals.

The latest increase in domestic bullion prices came amid a significant rise in international gold prices. In the international market, the price of gold increased by $112 per ounce, reaching $4,427 per ounce.

The simultaneous rise in international gold prices and domestic bullion rates highlights the continued strength of precious metals in the markets, with gold recording a particularly sharp increase during the latest trading movement.

With international gold prices rising by more than $100 per ounce and domestic gold prices registering an increase of Rs11,200 per tola, the latest movement represents a substantial upward adjustment for the Pakistani bullion market.
