Monitoring Report
ISLAMABAD: A dummy unit of Apple’s upcoming iPhone 18 has surfaced online, offering an early glimpse of possible design changes, particularly in the camera module, as reports suggest the standard model could arrive in the first quarter of 2027.
According to reports, a user on X, formerly Twitter, shared an image of the dummy unit, drawing attention to differences between its apparent design and that of the iPhone 17.
The most noticeable change appears to be the camera module, which looks different from the one featured on the iPhone 17. The image has sparked interest in what Apple may be planning for its next standard iPhone, although the final design and specifications remain unconfirmed.
Apple has reportedly shifted its iPhone launch schedule, with the standard iPhone 18 expected to debut separately from the Pro models. Under the reported timeline, the company could introduce the iPhone 18 during the first quarter of 2027 rather than alongside the premium models in the usual launch window.
However, a dummy unit does not necessarily represent the final retail product, and the apparent design changes should be treated as preliminary until Apple officially unveils the device.
Apple has not officially confirmed the iPhone 18’s design, launch date or specifications. Further details are expected to emerge as the launch approaches.
