ISLAMABAD: The government has raised petrol and high-speed diesel prices by Rs1.85 and Rs1.75 per litre, respectively, taking petrol to Rs377.91 and diesel to Rs399.82 per litre for October 29, 2026.
According to the Petroleum Division, the petrol price has increased from Rs376.06 to Rs377.91 per litre, while high-speed diesel (HSD) has risen from Rs398.07 to Rs399.82 per litre under the latest revision.

The increase will raise fuel expenses for motorists, commuters and households, while higher diesel prices may put additional pressure on transport operators, farmers and businesses dependent on freight movement.
Diesel is widely used in goods transport and public transport, meaning an increase in its price can raise operating expenses across supply chains. Any subsequent pass-through to freight charges could add to the prices of essential commodities and other goods.
The Petroleum Division said the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) had revised ex-depot prices under the federal government’s petroleum pricing mechanism. It attributed the changes to international market developments, including fluctuations in Platts rates, premiums and other incidental charges.
