ISLAMABAD: Jet fuel price has jumped by Rs9.05 per litre while kerosene has become Rs7.68 costlier, adding to the cost pressures across the petroleum market, with petrol also rising by Rs2.10 per litre.

Jet fuel has been increased by Rs9.05 per litre, taking its new price to Rs355.52 per litre, according to the latest petroleum price revision.

The price of kerosene oil has also been increased by Rs7.68 per litre, with its new price set at Rs329.54 per litre.

Meanwhile, the Petroleum Division has also raised the price of petrol by Rs2.10 per litre, taking the new price to Rs392.76 per litre.

The increase in jet fuel prices is likely to add to operating costs for airlines, while the rise in kerosene prices could increase the financial burden on consumers who rely on the fuel for household and other uses.

The latest revision comes amid continued volatility in global oil markets, with changes in international petroleum prices feeding into domestic fuel prices.

The increase in petrol prices will directly affect motorists, adding to transportation costs and potentially putting further pressure on household budgets and overall consumer prices.
