ISLAMABAD: Motorists will get a three-day reduction in fuel prices as petrol has been cut by Rs1.65 per litre and high-speed diesel (HSD) by Rs0.88 for September 19-21, 2026.
The Petroleum Division announced the revised prices on Friday following the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority’s (OGRA) review under the federal government’s petroleum pricing mechanism.
Petrol, or Motor Spirit (MS), has been reduced from Rs390.79 to Rs389.14 per litre, while HSD has declined from Rs424.92 to Rs424.04 per litre.
The Petroleum Division said the revised prices would be applicable for September 19, 20 and 21.
The latest revision means motorists will pay Rs1.65 less per litre for petrol, while consumers using diesel will see a reduction of Rs0.88 per litre during the specified period.
According to the Petroleum Division, the revision was necessitated by changes in relevant market factors, including Platts rates, premiums and incidentals.
OGRA reviews petroleum product prices under the prevailing pricing mechanism, with revised rates applicable for the period specified by the government.
The new ex-depot prices are Rs389.14 per litre for Motor Spirit and Rs424.04 per litre for High Speed Diesel.
The Petroleum Division said petroleum prices may be reviewed again after the three-day period under the prevailing pricing mechanism.
